Wednesday Night Polo - update

Just a quick update to say that we were asked by Security to leave our usual Wednesday night polo location in the Central Markets car park last night. Not wanting to follow in Milwaukee's tyre tracks we complied.

We're currently following this up to see if we can negotiate some sort of terms which will let us return to this awesome location.

Next Wednesday we'll meet at the Wakefield Street courts at 6pm, we should have enough light for at least a couple of hours, but alas, no dumplings.

Sunday Polo

We had a great turnout for last Sunday's polo, it was a pleasure to have Team Antwerp join us for another match, and rather than repeat a recount of the day here - jump over to Fixed Gear Antwerp for all the gory details.

Wednesday Night Polo

We played again last night in the market carpark and had a healthier turnout this time around, including the international contingent of Nicky, Chris and Tom from Fixed Gear Antwerp.



While the venue has some down sides relative to the usual court, they are all minor things that we are working on solutions for, the foremost [for me at least] is making the ball more visible [check the lead photo for a game of spot-the-ball], someone mentioned glowing balls at one point, does anyone have any ideas about availability?



One of the questions that was answered last night was that of the stance of the security in there, thankfully that merely rolled up, had a quick look, and gave us a cheerful wave before leaving us to our own devices.



We're going to be playing each Wednesday night from now on for some midweek malleting so come out and join us.

Wednesday Night Polo

Night polo is a gogo this Wednesday.
We will congregate at Dumpling King (Moomba Street, China Town) from around 6pm for some pre-game nourishment then head up to the market carpark at around 7pm. There is not an easy way to describe how to get to the part we play, so if you get there after we have left, just go up the Gouger Street entrance and head as far north-west as you can. Or call one of us.

Ski Poles

Just wondering if anyone of my fellow polo heads has discovered and bid on this batch of ski poles. If you have and you out bid me, cool, just hoping to make sure we're not bidding against each other as I was/am going to get them and disperse them among the flock.
