I would quite possibly be interested in the melbourne tournament, need plenty of practice first though.

I went pretty systematically between greenhill and the parade, fullarton and st bernards and found very little of anything. Either it had not been put out yet, been picked up, or the GFC is make people hold onto their crap more.

G'day,

I started a site in Adelaide a few months ago called http://www.adelaidecyclist.com . It's a site for all bike lovers in Ade - and as it has evolved and membership grown the members are more likely riders who love bikes as a utility and as a piece of beauty as opposed to (but not ignoring) the lycra wearing sports cyclists.

I think many would be interested in Bike polo, and fixed/ singlespeed bikes. It was only after going down to Nth Adelaide Cycles and talking to Kim in the week that he told me you were playing every week.

We would love it if you wanted to join the site as a member to post your news and notifications of your events. If you look at the site you will see that sub, or niche, groups can be created by members to promote a unique form of cycling. I would welcome a 'Bike Polo' or Fixed gear group.

I also really want to get more fixed riders onto the site as well.

We're also on Twitter - @ade_cyclists and, while we have no affiliation and no commercial interest at all, we do have a good relationship with BISA and BikeSA.

Finally, we are thinking of organising a meet-up or swap meet of some kind in spring and as a part of that a demo match of bike polo would be interesting.

Hey Neil. A hot spell indeed. Have had to work the last few sundays and missed out on the action. Have located some old ski poles ans plan to grab em' very soon. Was wondering how gawler place ended up going. Reasonable or...?

we also had problems to find a hard ball and also ended up buying the sticky backyard cricket ball. im already feel bad i didnt bring a ball from backhome, but its not so bad, needs more skills then :)

Hi, greets from Melbourne. Well done on your PR, glad to hear you've got people keen to get it started. There was a busload of people in the carpark in Carlton today, having a watch and cheering and so on, I said 'come back next Sunday' and they said 'we're from Adelaide, hurr~' and I said 'I'm sure they're playing it there!' and would you have a look, dammit, you are. May I reccomend you check out the local toy stores as well as the sports shops for cheap hard rubber balls - a tennis ball taped up with some gaffer or electrical tape isn't so bad - otherwise send some spies into your local inline skate store and look for 'street hockey' balls.
